How to accept changes and get along with a new beginning

As emotional beings, it's tough for humans to adapt to new things or changes. We often tend to disapprove of the beliefs we are suddenly exposed to. I always found trouble when we moved to different places as I was a kid it was very daunting. The thing that scared me was acceptance by new people and losing touch with the people I started believing as my home. I tried my best to make those people live in my memories and never leave them no matter what, but at the end of the day we humans can make only those things last which reciprocate the same amount of energy and love. Well, that's fair enough, it's sad to keep on holding relations and attachments which do us any good but eat your soul slowly anything that makes you feel restless is to be stopped. So here are a few tips that I personally used to get through THAT phase of a new beginning.

  • First and foremost, accept that change as it is don't consider it a sort of cage or exile. It will help you emotionally.
  • Try to focus on your work as much as you can, for example, if you are a student who moved to a new school your might be feeling uneasy, what you can do is perform nicely and give your 101% to whatever you are doing. People love to be friends with passionate and hard-working people.
  • Miss them but don't vent. You should not be crying for hours thinking about how perfect your life was earlier rather try journalling your thoughts and new feelings that might help you feel lighter and would become a place to reflect back on later on.
  • Make the first move. BUT ONLY IF YOU ARE COMFORTABLE. There's no hard and fast rule to make the first move but if you feel like you can always try.
  • Keep it easy. Don't get overwhelmed or judge the new people around you, they are gonna be your new homies real quick.

TAKE A DEEP BREATH. IT'S ALL GONNA BE FINE. HERE'S TO NEW BEGINNINGS.
